I Just Can't Do It!!!

Good Morning Folks!

Its 11:00 am here in BC and the first period is over in the Bruin/Ranger game; Rangers lead 1-0.  I just cannot cheer for either team; Its not because I do not like them.....its more of a why cheer for someone to lose.

Montreal holds their playoff lives in their own hands, just have to win and your in......what is wrong with players that come out flat.  There are hungrier teams behind them that want to be in the playoffs.  Don't get me wrong, I love my Habs; but if there is no team effort to go into these games then don't bother putting the skates on.  There is other players that would love to play in the NHL.

You cannot play the injury card, other teams have them too.  Boston, Pittsburgh, Washington, Vancouver! all are doing pretty well while missing some very important players.  I am not a Martin fan and blame him for most of the flatness, though other people say he is doing great with what he has. I agree to a point, but this hockey team with no jump just rattles me some how.

This team is playing behind a very talented young goalie who just cant do it himself.....All I would like to do is watch my team play with effort! If they win great!!! a loss and at least they tried!

From way out in Beautiful British Columbia!!

GO HABS GO!! I believe you can do it!

What a Gong Show This is Becoming

Hello Folks!

I Hope this link works that I have included in todays Blog.  Yesterday things got crazy in my Twitter world! Mark Recchi putting down medical staff in Montreal! This man played for the Habs, one of my all time favorite players! A good ol Canadian boy who just happens to come from the interior of Beautiful British Columbia! This man who came back to Kamloops and showed me the Stanley Cup!?! (well showed the whole city not just me)

I had to research a little, and didn't have to go far to find this link. Thank you Joe Haggerty for this.  I am not a fan to fly off the handle every little remark that is made against my team; hey I live in BC, and my friends are either Canuck or Bruin fans.  My best friend is a Leaf Fan!  I take the comments towards my team like a man.

I do find it funny how some people are taking it as a Canadian vs USA type deal, but reality has MTL having more American players than Boston, and Boston having more Canadian players on the Bruins. Patches is American.....Chara is Slovakian and Recchi and Lucy are both Canadians.

Bottom line is that Boston players are happy that Patches is not hurt as bad as first reported!!!! Of course somebody somewhere is going to say something if a couple days after a reported concussion you are watching a movie in a theatre.  We are all happy that Max is able to do this; I have had a concussion before and it is not a fun time.

Mtl lobbying for a big suspension....doubt it. Media over-reacting about this whole issue....probably; but they have a job and this rivalry has been going long before either player involved was born.  I am pretty sure that no stupid play is going to happen tonight as this game means too much to both teams.  If someone tries to fight Chara, well you wont be feeling like going to the movies after it; and Recchi wants the attention brought to him, he can handle himself.  Shame on anyone who doubted Mark.

Take a note out of Claude Juliens book and stay away from everybody till puck drop. The game is much easier that way.

GO HABS GO!!

Mtl vs Tampa Bay

Yes there is hockey to be played!  With so many injurys on the Habs I have heard them called the 'Montreal Bulldogs' and 'Hamilton Canadiens'.  The newest call ups are Nigel Dawes and Aaron Palushaj.  Welcome the Montreal!! What an exciting day today is!

Price vs Roloson is the goaltender match for tonight, The Lightning are always up for a game in Montreal.  What a treat for Boucher to see most of the players he coached last year!  There is one intense looking man; gets my attention!

Off the get some beverages for the big game, one thing for sure is that what im drinking is Green!

Happy St Pattys Day Folks!

Good Healing

First off I must say that Max Pacioretty is definitely in the right mind set.  Instead of laying defeated by a neck injury and severe concussion diagnosis; instead of listening to thousands of 'Chara Haters', and how unfair this is to him...... Max went to a very positive place and just healed.  I do not understand how he did it, there was no faking of being hit.  Maybe a far too rushed diagnosis was made, but what do expect with the media and fans wanting to know something right away.  Max is just a fast healer, keeping his body in great shape probably saved his life.

With all the overreacting that has gone on, it certainly didn't go unnoticed to the hockey world.  Not that I wished this to happen, but I think it pushed the 'head shot' issue front and center for the GM meetings.  I am a huge Habs fan and have been all my life; but I also consider myself a fan of hockey.  I  enjoy watching Crosby and Savard play against my beloved Habs.  I dislike hits to the head; it is unnecessary and should be taken out of the game.

It is good to see that Montreal has a good owner who has talked to the team with his plan of making their home ice safer for them and the other team.  I think that players have to take more responsibility for  their own safety and the one they are going to hit.

Maybe this is the TSN turning point for all players

Back to Hockey!

Howdy Folks!

I have stayed out of the 'incident' because it is done and other than wishing Patches a speedy recovery (which I did) there is really nothing but whining a little bit.  OK I did that too but it was mostly to my poor family.

We have a game tonight! One that has been circled in most Habs households since the sked came out! The team is visiting a familiar face in Jaro Halak.  The veterans on this team will have things under control, the coaches will have a game plan for tonight.  It is very important to take every game one at a time and focus on who you are playing.  To finish the season playing for Patches is something that will bring this close team even closer.

I think as fans we can help by cheering the team we got while giving support to the injured.

LETS SHOW THE LEAGUE WHY WE ARE THE BEST FANS IN THE WORLD!!

GO HABS GO!!
heal fast Max

A Huge Game for Sure

Mtl vs Bos

Wow what a Huge game, both teams are chasing these all important 2 points.  Boston could be tied for tops in the East.  Habs can keep within striking distance of the Bruins; but more importantly making room between them and that 9th position in the conference.

It will not be as bloody of a game as the last time they met, both teams will not fall into that game.  Two smart coaches that will have their teams playing a fast paced, hard hitting game.  If anything it will resemble a playoff game between the two rival teams.  Low scoring and lots of structure. Not Carey Price fighting Tim Thomas.

Bruins will show that there is a reason for them being where they are; it is up the the Canadiens to show that they wont lay down after a beating.

GO HABS GO!!
