A Good Third Period For a Point

Well If there was one period to watch; it was the third.  Was away from the tv for a few hours and could only read some posts of the play.  Well for once I might have enjoyed missing a few of my favorite teams periods.

Now like I said; the third period.  Wow Cammalleri! That whole line looked great!  Our defence is playing quite well together and O'Bryne looks like he never missed a shift.

Now George Laraque; whats up with that.  Maybe he has read the silly posts made from some people saying that he should run around and do whatever he could do to cause trouble; even if it meant a penalty.  I am not one of these posters.  One thing that sets him apart from other heavy weights is the urge not to take dumb penalties.

I dont expect Big George to be reading my blog, but please just do what you do best.  You know your better than that.

Montreal Canadiens Win ! Thank You Carey Price !

Good Morning Folks

Last night we saw what Carey Price can do in a NHL hockey game.  Save after save the young man from British Columbia is winning games and fan support.  This team does not shiver when the score is tied after OT.  Shootout! bring it on!

The Habs are a injured team that is having trouble finding ways to score; but not problem in net.  Both goalies Price/Halak are doing their job.  Defenceman Ryan O'Bryne has been cleared to play, so Matt Carle is being sent back down to the Bulldogs.  Thank you Matt; the only good thing about many defencemen injured is the call ups of young talent.  Good job! A definite keeper!

Another bright spot is Andrei Kostitsyn,  He has been shuffled around the line up for the past weeks to find his place; only to be put back beside Plekanec.  Good game!

The team as a whole skated harder, seemed like more scoring chances were created; the goals will come with the hard work shown. Latendresse is doing what he has to for a spot in the line up.

A very happy Hab fan

Whats the Plan after a bad Effort

Sunday morning

I have been a fan of the Club de Hockey for all my life.  I witnessed a game last night that broke a record.  Players and Goalies who lived in the Gretzky era saw many records broken and re-broken.  The last thing they wanted to be immortalized as the player he deked or the goalie he scored on to break these records.  My point is that Montreal is on the wrong side of this record.  Now it was a team record for Nashville for most shots in a period; but a record is a record.  Good on them.

I wake this morning thinking of what had happened and who to blame.  I understand that the teams defence is devistated with injurys; what i dont understand is the players who take to the ice not playing an inspired game.  When teams get injurys; which every team gets, its the players left on the ice that have to answer the call.

Are these players on my favorite team a bunch men who dont care if they win or lose?  I dont think so, but its not my job to call players out on their performance.  I am more than a witness, I am a fan.

My job is to cheer my team on through and through...
